The exterior is typified by tall monolithic facades entirely clad in stone punctuated by Claudio’s distinctive open topped narrow apertures, and solid timber screens. Each villa possesses four floors of luxurious living spaces including a low floor featuring a dedicated car lift. The 18 villas on Sandy Island are unique creations by Claudio Silvestrin, and have been personally named by Claudio Silvestrin after 18 Master of Italian art and architecture who have inspired his designs.

On entering the island, one is immediately enveloped in an intimate experience of nature created by a miniature rainforest of mature Khaya trees, which have been conserved and transplanted within Sandy Island. These trees form a closed canopy of dense foliage, sheltering the island.
